Sunshine....on my shoulders

Yes, I am back. All is right in the world. I will never leave you again. I promise.

Before we get started just wanted to send out a happy belated birthday wish to Coco. Remember my friend...numbers don't make you old. They just make you APPEAR old.

So anywho...

Holy Sweet Hosanah is it hot out eh? My god in heaven, I don't mean to complain but this heat is wicked. (and i mean wicked in the severe and distressing sense not the radically awesome one) Like don't get me wrong friends I do love the summertime and enjoy the hot weather that accompanies it but this heat really doesn't lend itself to the work environment does it? Honestly, humidity is the bane to our working existence. Firstly, commuting is made even less desirable thanks to heat. Mmmm nothing like standing shoulder to shoulder with people on a subway when it's 90 out. Wow, that's a pungent odor you got there fella. Please, stand closer. What a great way to start my day! And there really isn't good summer work wear is there? What can we possibly wear that will make us feel comfortable but yet will also meet the requirements of business appropriate? Hey it's shirtless fridays! Ahhhhh no. Maybe we should all just follow the school system and just take the summers off. Yeah, I think that is a corking idea. Please pass that Mr. Governor!

Is anyone else sick and tired of seeing Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes (TomKat) laughing with their alarmingly large gaping mouths on the cover of every god damn magazine yet? Good lord, please make this stop. We get it, you guys are together. And you enjoy laughing, pointing and wearing sunglasses. Plus you both have very large smiles. Done. Let's move on shall we? Doesn't Lindsay Lohan have a eating disorder we can discuss? Isn't Britney Spears a redneck and pregnant? Haven't Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie done something else SEX-ay? Hasn't Russel Crowe beaten up someone lately? Come on people there is other celebrity news out there!!! There just has to be.

How good is music right now? Wow, there are a lot of great albums out now. Not just great albums...great bands period. It feels like a new musical renaissance. I can't even keep up with all the shit I am listening too. It is an exciting time to be a music fan that is for sure. It seems like I am getting turned onto a new band on a daily basis from my close music comrades. Here is just few of my latest favs:
-Bloc Party "Silent Alarm". Damn is this good. Best new british band in some time. Get this NOW!!!!
-Death From Above 1979 "You're A Woman, I'm a Machine". Well it appears I won't be needing these socks...as they just got blown the hell off. It's disco punk. It's new wave Black Sabbath. It rocks plain and simple.
-Beck "Guero". God bless Beck Hansen. Another winner!
-Oasis "Don't Believe The Hype". I don't care what anyone thinks. Oasis is alllllllllllllright.
-White Stripes "Get Behind Me Satan". Not what you are expecting...but still brilliant. Clearly the best album title of the year.
-Keane "Hopes and Fears". Yes, I can be mellow.
